WHO IS TREEHOUSE FOR?
Treehouse is designed for the man who has been given over to drug and or alcohol abuse including those who may be struggling with a number of other secondary issues contributing to the root cause of the struggle, namely sin. All potential candidates for Treehouse begin by arranging a formal interview with our intake director who will help educate and inform each individual of the treatment process, our requirements and their options.
WHAT IS TREEHOUSE?
Treehouse is a mens residential discipleship program that is specifically designed to confront and defeat addictive behaviors and the bad habits that result in substance abuse. We examine and address in detail the deep emotional and spiritual and sometimes mental disorders that drive individuals to seek relief in the form of a pill, a bottle, a relationship, an experience or piece of cake. Treehouse Ministries is a non-profit organization that exists as an extension of the local church bolstering a proven solution to the drug epidemic. Treehouse has assembled a team of experts in the field of “faith based” recovery and has partnered with Lansing Teen Challenge to develop a program from the Teen Challenge model exclusively for Northern Michigan.
WHY TREEHOUSE?
The message we preach and the God we serve is great! The reasons are endless….Here are a few. The only thing that can free someone from a life controlling issue like substance abuse is the love and mercy of God. The love of God is the only thing that can liberate the human heart and free it to sense and savor something outside the dimensions and boundaries of one’s own inward selfish desires. It’s not about do more, try harder or behave differently. It’s not 12 steps. It’s not found within…hence the problem! It’s a free gift from God called grace and you can’t do anything to earn it. Jesus died to free each one of us from the hold sin has on our lives. He rose and conquered death (what we deserved) for us. If we turn from our sin and receive this gift by faith we become born again able to see and savor God. God’s will for His kids is that we shall not be ruled or mastered by any other thing. That’s pretty good news to an addict. Statistically no other program, method, religion, therapy or theory concerning addiction can even hold a candle to the staggering bottom line. 86% of the students who graduate from “faith in Jesus” programs go on to be productive and loving fathers, husbands and members of their community. Now of that 86%, every single one of them, 100%, report that Jesus is the only reason they are experiencing freedom from addiction. The word of God never, ever fails in the lives of those who plant it in their hearts.
The bible is the only message of hope in the world that has stood the rise and fall of empires, nations, governments, wars, rebellions, terrorism, philosophy, pop culture, religion, science, medicine, cults, martyrdom, famine, torture, prophecy, economics, technology and persecution and is as relevant and polarizing today for us as it was 2000 years ago. We can see the evidence of this gospel message in His people and through His sovereign will to build, keep and sustain us the Church. Historically, statistically and evidently no other gospel than the one found in the bible, the most widely translated and best selling book of all time, can boast the life altering impact that Jesus Christ makes in the lives of His believers. Treehouse is proud to be part of this pedigree, to continue reaching out with the love of God to those who would believe and be set free! If this doesn’t fire you up than your wood must be wet!!!
