HOW DOES TREEHOUSE TREAT ADDICTION?
Jesus. It’s all about Jesus. He’s our Savior, Lord, God, High Priest, Strong Tower, Refuge, Righteousness, Atonement, Physician and Friend. We don’t package this any other way than the straight truth. There is nothing vague or self determining about anything we do, say or preach. We believe the bible and the claims of Christ that He is the way the truth and the life and that no one can come to the Father except through Him. No one can experience freedom from life controlling sin, let alone find an answer to the reason why we seem so hopelessly and purposely lost and without meaning in this world, apart from a reconciled relationship to our God and Creator. We will forever feed on lies and half truths and stumble through life in the dark apart from God. We see the fall of man (Adam and Eve) as the root cause for all sinful behavior leading to addiction. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as prescribed by God the Father, is the only antidote for the desperate condition of mankind. The Gospel is the power unto salvation and is the manifold wisdom of God. That’s good news! Jesus saves! We teach timeless biblical principles and doctrine in a way that is thorough and relevant to students today. We offer traditional pastoral counseling, seminary quality classes, daily worship and chapel services, personal devotions, group studies, peer to peer support and accountability, 24 hour live-in staff supervision, recreational activities, physical exercise and community service. We also place a high priority on developing strong male leadership through humility, discipline and practical job skill training. Each class, activity and phase of the program has been carefully developed from the Teen Challenge model of “faith based” recovery which has been successfully saving addicts and alcoholics for over 60 years.
